CommBank Matildas’ forward Hayley Raso has been medically withdrawn from the squad for the October FIFA Women’s International Window in Europe.

The CommBank Matildas Medical Team has been working closely with Tottenham Hotspur to assess the extent of Raso’s hamstring injury recently sustained at the club, and the joint decision has been made that she will not be available to join the squad in Europe. She will remain with Tottenham to continue her rehabilitation.

In her place, Paris FC midfielder Sarah Hunter has been recalled to the senior women’s national team camp for the first time since December 2023 when she made her international debut against Canada.

The 21-year-old has made a positive start to her second season with Paris FC, who currently sit fourth in the Division 1 Féminine side. She has featured in five of the team’s six matches including their UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying matches.

Australia will open the window against current world number 25, Switzerland, on Friday, 25 October 2024 (8.00pm CET). The team will then relocate to Germany to take on current world number 4 in Duisburg on Monday, 28 October 2024 (6.10pm CET).

Australian fans will be able to watch the CommBank Matildas take on Switzerland and Germany live and exclusive on Paramount+.
